THIS SUNDAY: Critical Swab Drive at Bobover Beis Medrash
by YS Gold
A father and husband is in critical need of a bone marrow transplant, and this Sunday, Yiden will line up to have themselves swabbed in order to see whether they’re a match who can save his life.
The drive is being coordinated by the legendary Ezer Mizion organization, in conjunction with Yachad d’Bobov. It will take place in the large Bobover Beis Medrash, near the 15th Avenue entrance.
A notice published by the organizations explained that “anyone between 18 and 45 years of age who has never been tested has the potential to be a match for this patient. Once entered into the database of Ezer Mizion and later found to be match, you will be called upon to help save a life.”
“A moment of your time can add years to a fellow Yid’s life,” it said.
