Thomas G. Donlon Sworn In as Interim NYPD Commissioner

This past Friday afternoon, Thomas G. Donlon was officially sworn in as Interim Police Commissioner during a ceremony held at 1 Police Plaza, in the presence of the NYPD executive staff.
The appointment follows the recent resignation of Commissioner Edward Caban.
Immediately after the swearing-in ceremony, Commissioner Donlon met with the NYPD executive staff to discuss the department's future and ongoing initiatives. His leadership comes at a crucial time, and his experience within the force is expected to help guide the department through the transition.
