Thousands Makes New Kabalahs, and Hundreds Plan Trip To Krakow For Tosfos Yom Tov’s Yartzeit
Next week Monday, vav Elul, is the yartzeit of the auspicious Tosfos Yom Tov, who inspired the well-known movement, Keren Tosfos Yom Tov, which spreads awareness and encourages people not to speak during davening.
The movement started with a mi shebeirach from the Tosfos Yom Tov, who was outspoken about preserving the sanctity of shul and not speaking during davening. Thousands of yidden, both young and old, have been inspired to take this kabbalah upon themselves.
Thousands of yidden from around the world are expected to travel next week to Krakow, where the Tosfos Yom Tov’s kever is located, to daven on his yartzeit during this auspicious time in Elul. Preparations are underway in Krakow by the Vaad Hachnasos Orchim of Krakow to welcome and accommodate the large crowds. The beis hachaim will be open for 24 hours on the day of the yartzeit to allow everyone a chance to daven for a gut gebentched yur.
