The fast moving blaze quickly escalated. And FDNY spokesman said told Boropark24, “by 07:23 it had been elevated to a 2-alarm blaze, and shortly thereafter, to a 3- alarm.

“There are 33 apartments in this four-story building, with 128 persons evacuated,” he said.

The flames shot up through all levels of the holding, all the way to the roof, causing lots of damage.

One person was treated for minor burn injuries, and a number of others were transported to area hospitals for smoke inhalation—from an event that could have ended much worse.

The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time, and the FDNY remains on scene To investigate.
