Three-Alarm Fire Raging at Brooklyn Warehouse and NYPD Auto Pound

A raging three-alarm fire, reported at about 10:35 a.m., is presently being battled at the waterfront location of the Red Hook Warehouse and the NYPD's Erie Basin Auto Pound.
More than 150 New York fire department members are currently battling the flames at 700 Columbia Street in Brooklyn as multiple vehicles are going up in flames. Dozens of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and ATVs remain parked on the pier area in dangerous proximity to the flames.
Two firefighters have suffered minor injuries from the ongoing battle.
Drivers should expect smoke and traffic delays in the area. It is recommended that anyone in the area should avoid the smoke and keep all windows closed.
