Weekly Weather: Comfortable Pattern to Hold, Drought Conditions Continue
By: Yaker Biegeleisen
The pleasant weather pattern that we have had all weekend will remain with us for this week, even as we see a slight rise in temperatures with each passing day.
We will see daytime temps in the 70’s and overnight temps in the 60's.
Models had been predicting some rain at a time when we are in a drought, with rainfall levels far below what is needed. Plant life around us has begun to reflect this, as leaves are beginning to fall off trees in some places, and grass has turned from green to a yellowish color. This is called sleeping mode, when the grass preserves the little moisture that it has.
There is a chance of a passing shower Monday and Tuesday, but it will not be very significant.
We will warm up slightly toward the end of the week.
