A Busy Night for Emergency Services in Boro Park

Tuesday evening was a busy one for Emergency Services on the streets of Boro Park, as they went about assisting members of the community in need of help. 

The busy evening began when an autistic boy went missing. Shomrim and NYPD were on the scene searching for the boy, B"h he was found after four hours, reuniting him with his grateful parents. 


Later, a man barricaded himself in an apartment on east 2nd Street and Cortelyou Road. He was removed by the NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit.


At around 9:00, the FDNY responded to the scene of a blaze at 65th Street and 23rd Avenue.


Just an hour and ahalf later, at 10:30, they rushed to the scene of a manhole fire on 37th St and Old New Utrecht Ave.

A massive FDNY response was called out at 2:00 in the morning, when a gas line busted on 6th Avenue and 54th Street. The sidewalk collapsed and Hazmat crews were called over concerns a gas line below may have been affected.
