Additional Road Closure for 17th Avenue Bridge Repair

The repairs for the 17th Avenue Bridge—one of a number of bridges that allow car traffic to cross over the LIRR Railroad—are ongoing, and parking along 17th Avenue has been sharply diminished. 

With the progression of the work, the DOT now announced that further spaces will be taken up by the repair work. 

“Work on the #17thAveBridge will require the northbound lane closures towards 54th St & the removal of approx. 36 parking spaces on 17th Ave between 54th & 57th Streets from 3/6-3/24, 9AM-2PM,” the notice said.
