Admor m’Dushinsky To Spend Pesach in New York

The Dushinsky Rebbe, Rav Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky, shlit”a, is named for his paternal grandfather, the founder of this movement, who came to Eretz Yisroel in the year 1932–following a brilliant tenure as a talmid in the Pressburger Yeshiva, and then a Rov in Galanta and Chust, in prewar Hungary.

The rebbe is a son in law of Rav Zalman Leib Meisels, a revered and venerated Rov in Sea Gate for many decades—a son of Rav Tzvi Hirsh Meisels, zt”l, Veitzener Rov.

The rebbe has numerous Chasidim throughout Eretz Yisroel, who ardently attend his beautiful tischen that are renowned for their hisromemus, an uplifted, heartfelt air. They have already missed Pesach with the rebbe last year, due to the coronavirus—and would surely have welcomed the ability to spend Yom Tov together in Yerushalayim, at the chasiddus’ center on Shmuel Hanavi.

But sometimes, family comes first. And this year, the rebbe and the Rebbetzin have chosen to spend Yom Tov in Sea Gate with their venerated Rosh Hamishpacha, Rav Meisels shlit”a. Although, the primary reason for the visit is family, this occassion will afford the American community to have proximity to the Rebbe (on Wednesday, the Rebbe baked matzos, along with the Kossover Rebbe at the Boro Park Matzoh Bakery; Gallery featured here).

Uplifted events in the court of tzaddikim infuse great spirit into the chassidim, but sometimes, actions that exude mentchlichkeit, love, and kibbud av, can teach a whole lot more.
