American Yidden Protest IDF Chareidi Draft

Last week the street in front of the Israeli consulate in Manhattan was overtaken by thousands of yeshivah students, rebbeim, and important figures who gathered to protest the chareidi draft in Israel.  

Since the frum yidden protesting in front of the IDF draft office in Israel have been getting beaten and arrested by the police, their fellow yidden from the US and Canada took up the cause and protested on their behalf.

Several prominent rebbeim delivered passionate speeches, including Reb Chaim Floger, Reb Yitzchak Aaron Feigel, Reb Shmuel Schlesinger, Reb Yitzchak Isaac Weiss from Yerushalayim, Reb Yudel Katz from Melbourne, Reb Yeshaya Weiss, and Reb Channanel Sarara from the Yemenite community. Additionally, Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro of Bayswater delivered a speech in English so the media would understand the reason for the protest. The event concluded with the Premishlan Rebbe leading a recitation of Shir Hamalos. 

After the speeches concluded the crowd marched down the street with raised signs and loud chants against the Israeli government.
