Arrest Made in Subway Window Smashing

BoroPark24 reported on a crime spree last month wherein suspects vandalized numerous train cars by smashing their windows. The damage was estimated at around $500,000.

This week, an arrest was made of a 14-year-old boy in connection with this incident. His identity is being withheld due to his age.

Police said that the same teen is also responsible for throwing a brick through the window of a D-train in Boro Park, smashing the front window of the operator’s cabin. In this incident, the suspects themselves filmed the crime and uploaded it to social media.

An MTA spokesman said that it was this video that helped police catch the perpetrator.
