Asthma Cases Skyrocketed During Air Quality Emergency

As we were warned by health experts, including a clear warning from Hatzolah, polluted air is especially dangerous for those with breathing difficulties, such as those suffering from asthma. 

Indeed, emergency rooms in New York saw three hundred cases of asthma symptoms on Wednesday—the peak of the air-quality emergency—alone. Hospital representatives assured the public that the cases were in the hundreds, and they were more than up to the task of caring for the patients. 

Although the air quality had drastically improved over Thursday and into Friday, the warning remained in effect until midnight on Friday night.
