BDE: Mrs. Chaya Citronenbaum, A’H

BDE: Mrs. Chaya Citronenbaum, A’H

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Chaya Citronenbaum of Boro Park. She was 90 years old, yet another precious member of the she’eris hapleita, —the heroic Holocaust survivors who rebuilt from the Churban— to leave our midst this week.

Mrs. Citronenbaum was born to her parents, Reb Chaim and Miriam Weinman—Stuchiner Chassidim— in Poland, in the year 1930, and endured the terrible years of Churban Europa during her childhood and teenage years.

Following the war, she married her husband, Reb Pinchos Citronenbaum, from the prominent Bobover family originating in Gorlice, and they rejoined the reestablished Bobover Chassidus as it grew and expanded on American shores. They remained pillars of this community until their last days.

Mrs. Citronenbaum leaves behind a beautiful Torah family: Reb Itche Citronenbaum, Reb Chaim Citronenbaum, and Mrs. Esther Hellman.

The levaya will take place tomorrow morning in front of the Bobover beis Medrash at 9:00 am. and she was interred in the Bobover Beis Hachaim in New Jersey.

Yehi Zichra Baruch.
