BDE: Mrs. Debbie Licht (nee Berger), A"H

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Licht, a longtime, beloved babysitter in the Boro Park community, at the untimely age of 54.

Mrs. Licht was the second generation in her family to be born in Boro Park; her mother, Miriam Berger (nee Blatt, the daughter of Mr. Chaim Yisroel Blatt, longtime mispalel in the Stoliner shul in Boro Park) was born here.

Her father, Reb Aaron Berger, was a Holocaust survivor from Cieszanów, Poland, was an ardent Belzer chossid, married Miriam, and raised Debbie and her siblings right here in Boro Park. Reb Aaron davened all of his years in Skolya. He sadly passed away a few months ago.

Throughout her life, she was known for her middos and her kindness to everyone. She was an especially devoted mother and grandmother.

In recent months she had contracted an illness, which it was hoped she would recover from. Sadly, she passed away in Cleveland late last night.

The levaya will take place at 12:00 noon today at Shomrei Hadas. Kevurah will be in the Viznitzer Chelka in Wellwood Cemetery.

Yehi Zichra Baruch.
