BDE: Mrs. Hinda Leah Blau, a”h

YS GOLD
We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Hinda Leah Blau, a”h, a longtime Boro Park resident, and matriarch of a beautiful Torah family. She was 84 years of age.
The nifteres was raised in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn by her parents, Reb Yitzchok Menachem and Gittel Eisenberger. She was one of the early talmidos in Bais Yaakov of Williamsburg, and it is there that she was inculcated with the chinuch for emunah, bitachon, and ardent commitment to Yiddishkeit that would last her a lifetime.
She married Reb Mordechai Blau, a Holocaust survivor who had spent some time in Eretz Yisroel after the war, and together they raised beautiful Torah generations.
Her grandchildren describe her as a creative and loving person, who doted on her family with extraordinary dedication—remembering every descendants name, down to the fifth generation! “She was always smiling and always happy and always positive,” said one grandson. She could always be found with a Tehillim, and her emunah peshutah was incredible.
She would say that her greatest pleasure was to sit on her porch and watch boys and girls being transported to and from cheder.
Mrs. Blau was unwell in recent weeks, and passed away motzei Shabbos.
The levaya will take place in Shomrei Hadas at 1:00 this afternoon. To watch is live click here.
Yehi zichra Baruch.
