BDE: Mrs. Mindel Saltzberg, a”h, Longtime Mechaneches

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Salzberg, a longtime educator in the community. She was in her seventies. 

The nifteres was the daughter of Reb Yaakov Hillel Lichtenstein, a Holocaust survivor who hailed from an illustrious family of generations of Rabbonim in Hungary and Romania. 

She was married to Reb Shmuel Aaron Salzberg, and together they established a beautiful Torah family of upstanding bnei Torah and yerei Shomayim. 

She worked for decades as a principal at Yeshiva of Brooklyn in Flatbush, where she was beloved and admired by staff and students alike. 

She suffered with an illness since the summer, and was nifteres on Motzhai Shabbos. 

The levaya will take place in Shomrei Hadas at 1:45 this afternoon, where the nifteres will be mourned by her family and scores of talmidos from throughout the decades.
