BDE: Mrs. Miriam Perlow, a”h

We regret to inform you of the petirah of Mrs. Miriam Perlow, a longtime, beloved Boro Park resident. She was 101 years of age. 

The nifteres was the daughter of Rav Shmaya Wiesner, a rov in Hungary and Germany (where Miriam was likely born), and hailed from generations of Rabbonim and pious yidden. 

Rav Shmaya came to Boro Park in the 1940’s, and established Congregation Geulah v’Yeshuah and was active in rescue and relief work. His shul was located on 49th Street, where Rav Avrohom Chaim Spitzer’s shul was later located. 

She married Rav Eliezer Zev Perlow, a talmid of Mir and Baranovitch, a great talmid chochom and author of the sefer Imrei Eliezer. He was a scion of great Chassidic dynasties. 

Together they established a beautiful Torah family who are a credit to them. 

The Levaya will take place at Congregation Agudas Achim in Flatbush, at 11:00 Sunday morning.
