BDE: Reb Aaron Lieberman, z”l
YS GOLD
We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Aaron Lieberman, a longtime Boro Park resident, and an ardent Belzer chassid. He was in his sixties.
He was born in the village of Komemiyus, in Eretz Yisroel.
A story transpired during his childhood that changed the course of his life. One Shabbos, when he was a very young child, he became very ill. He was hospitalized and the doctors gave up on him. His mother came running into the Beis Medrash beside herself. Rav Mendelson, the Rov of Komemiyus was sitting in the shul at Shalosh Seudos, and he asked what the commotion was all about. When he was told about child who was deathly ill, he said, “was I sandak at his bris? If so, he will be healthy.” Aaron went on to make a full recovery.
He came to America many years ago, and he became a fixture in the Belzer shul on 43rd street—endearing himself to the many chassidim who daven there.
He worked for years as a contractor, and later as a driver for meshulachim from Eretz Yisroel.
He leaves behind a beautiful Torah family.
The levaya will take place at the Belzer Shul on 43rd street at 11:00 Sunday evening.
Yehi zichro baruch.
