BDE: Reb Menachem Loefler z”l

Boro Park - We are saddened to inform of the petira of Reb Menachem Loefler z”l, a respected member of Williamsburg’s Pupa kehilla who carried on the flame of the Loefler’s furniture store that began in Williamsburg and eventually expanded to a branch in Boro Park. He was 65.

Reb Menachem’s father had opened the first Loefler’s furniture store in Williamsburg, and then opened a second store in Boro Park on 52nd Street and New Utrecht Ave. 

The niftar was the only of his parents, Holocaust survivors who rebuilt their lives in America after the war.

Reb Menachem is survived by his mother, wife and children, all of whom, aside for one daughter, are married.
