BDE: Reb Moshe Bistricer, 101, Billionaire Philanthropist

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Reb Moshe Bistricer, z”l, whose real estate company, based in Boro Park, was considered one of the largest in New York. 

He was born in Hungary in 1920, and miraculously survived the Holocast, enduring life in the concentration camps. 

He came to New York in the 1950’s and was connected with the Divrei Yoel of Satmar, zy”a, with whom he remained connected for the rest of his life. 

From the Rebbe he learned the meaning of generosity, and he remained a major ba’al tzeddakah for all of his life—donating generously to Satmar, as well as a variety of causes. 

His levaya will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Shomrei Hadas.
