BDE: Reb Yoel Simcha, z"l

A pall of sadness and mourning is being felt in the Gerer kehillah in Boro Park with the passing of one of its own, a beloved yungerman who was greatly devoted to the development of the chassidus, particularly in Boro Park. Reb Yoel Simcha passed away in the early morning hours of Friday morning, leaving his family and many friends broken and deeply saddened. 

A native of Monsey, he was the son of ybl"ch R' Avraham Binyamin Simcha, a descendant of the Pittsburger Rov, Rav Avraham Binyamin Silberberg, zt"l. 

The niftar devoted himself to the development of the Gerer mosdos in Boro Park, and was always available for anything that the yeshiva administration needed in order to enhance the experience of the talmidim. He comes to the olam ha'emes, accompanies by the many merits of limud haTorah that he helped facilitate. 

The levaya will take place in front of the Gerer yeshiva ketana on Old New Utrecht at 11:00 Friday morning.
