By: Yehuda Alter
We are saddened to inform you of the petirah of Rebbetzin Scheiner, eishes chover to Rav Reueven Scheiner, a longtime Rosh Yeshiva in Torah Vodaas. She was 87 years of age and resided for many years in Boro Park.
The nifteres was born in the year 1935 to her father, Reb Chaim Shraga Lichtenstein, z"l.
She married Rav Reuven Scheiner--a prize talmid of Rav Shraga Feivel Mendelowitz in Yeshiva Toras Vodaas-- in the year 1957.
He was born in Scranton which was a spiritual wilderness, and through the emunas chachomim instilled in him by his parents, and the chinuch of his legendary Rebbeim in the yeshiva, he was transformed into a gadol.
Together, they created a home permeated with Torah and ahavas Torah, and raised their children on that golden path.
Through his many decades of harbotzas Torah in the yeshiva, and his intense hasmodoh b'Torah, his devoted Rebbetzin stood by him in support--an everlasting credit to her legacy.
Among their children is famed Monsey philanthropist, ybl"ch, R' Leizer Scheiner.
The levaya will take place in front of Yeshiva Torah Vodaas at 5:00 this afternoon.
