Boro Park Covid-19 Testing Site to Close
By: Yehuda Alter
In a sign that New York City is finally leaving the Covid era behind, it has been announced that a local testing site will be closing for good.
Boro Park residents will recall the outdoor area on Fort Hamilton Parkway, near 40th Street, which has served as a testing site since the early days of the pandemic.
Long lines would often snake around the corner as residents would clamor to obtain PCR tests.
Despite periodic waves of the virus cropping up, it seems that we have learned to live with the virus among us, and no mass testing will be necessary any longer.
The Fort Hamilton site will close on July 16th.
