BREAKING: Multiple Patients Treated as House Fire Erupts at 62nd Street and 13th Avenue
By BoroPark24 Staff
A serious house fire broke out Wednesday morning at the intersection of 62nd Street and 13th Avenue, where a residential home became fully engulfed in flames, prompting a large emergency response.
According to initial reports from the scene, multiple people were inside the house when the fire broke out, and several were seen trying to exit as firefighters arrived. A number of victims have already been transported to local hospitals for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been released.
FDNY crews encountered additional challenges while battling the blaze due to a frozen fire hydrant, which delayed efforts to establish a steady water supply. Firefighters worked quickly to overcome the issue while continuing rescue and suppression operations.
The fire has now been brought under control.
Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
