Mrs. Weider, who was in her 60s, had just left the fruit store at New Utrecht Ave. and 49th Street at about 11:55 a.m. and was crossing the street when she was run over by a cement truck. Hatzolah rushed to the scene but was forced to declare her dead.

Mrs. Wieder, from Boro Park, was the wife of Reb Avrohom Wieder and was originally from New Square.

NYPD Highway Investigation units were at scene investigating the cause of the accident.

Chesed Shel Emes and Misaskim volunteers were at the scene to ensure Kvod Hames.
