Chernobel Celebrates Yitzikas Hayesodos

The new Chernobel shul has been under heavy construction, with tractors and construction workers seen on the site throughout the day. 

Last week a significant moment took place when the foundation for the Mizrach wall was poured. To celebrate this milestone, a yitzikas hayesodos event took place with the Chernobel Rebbe shlita in attendance.

The event took place on Monday, on the auspicious date of the 15th of Av. The Rebbe was accompanied by his sons and a close group of chassidim and askanim who are involved in the building of the shul. 

The Rebbe recited Tehillim with great fervor, and then placed stones and coins in the foundation, including some stones from the historic shul in the city of Chernobyl. The Rebbe honored his sons and a few benefactors and members of the vaad of the shul with pouring some cement as well.

The celebrations then continued at the Rebbe’s home, where the Rebbe distributed lekach and sang songs of shevah v’hoduah. The Rebbe delivered Divrei Bracha and expressed his hope that soon they would be able to daven in the beautiful new shul.
