Child Gets Run Over By Truck and Lives to Tell the Tale

Boro Park – A child who was run over by a truck and survived unscathed recounting his ordeal Motzei Shabbos before his open-mouthed friends at a weekly Avos Ubonim program.

Yossi Weisberg told his audience at the Boro Park Center that he was crossing the street on 9th Ave. and 49th Street when a garbage truck knocked him down and ran over him, apparently not having noticed him. Most of the truck had gone over his body, which was protected by the undercarriage’s high elevation.

The driver, who worked for a private sanitation company, fled the scene.

“I crawled out from there,” Yossi said, “and a person helped me get up and caught the truck’s license plate. Hatzolah came and took me to the hospital, but there was nothing wrong.”

The approximately 100 fathers and children applauded his escape.
