City Council to Vote on Noise Cameras
YS Gold
As we have reported in the past, New York City is looking to install noise cameras that would record vehicles emitting noise of 85 decibels (about as loud as a lawn mower) and above.
The New York City Council will vote on this measure, and if it passes, drivers will be recorded if their vehicles emit loud noises, and be fined for this infraction.
Fines will range between $800-$2,500. The City plans to install five cameras per borough.
