Congestion Toll Extended Until October

By Idy Perl
Well well well.
After initially warning Governor Hochul to shut down the congestion toll by March 31st, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued a 30 day extension and gave Hochul until April 20th to cut the toll cameras. But don’t get your hopes up; it’s here to stay for at least another six months.
It has now been revealed through court filings that the MTA and the Trump administration have agreed to further extend the current April 20th deadline until October. In the meantime, both parties will have the chance to prepare their motions, and a judge will have the final say.
