Culinary Corner: Hot Honey Orange Pistachio Salmon
Sweet and spicy, flaky and crunchy. This recipe has flavor and texture!
2 lbs salmon fillet
3/4 cup shelled pistachios
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Orange Hot Honey:
1/2 cup honey
1 orange, juiced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Combine the ingredients for the Orange Hot Honey in a small saucepan. Bring to a low boil and remove from heat. Allow the honey to cool.
Place the salmon on a large baking sheet lined with greased parchment paper. Evenly season with the salt and pepper. Set aside half of the honey mixture for later and brush the other half generously over the salmon.
Lightly chop the pistachios and sprinkle over the salmon. Top with a few orange slices. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Drizzle with the rest of the hot honey.
