Cuomo Signs Executive Order that Restaurants Can Stay Open until 11pm
After announcing a continued decline in hospitalizations and COVID infection rates, Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order that extended the closing time of restaurants from 10pm to 11pm throughout New York State.
On Friday, when Gov. Cuomo made his announcement, indoor dining re-opened in New York City at a 25% capacity.
“Hospitalizations and the [COVID] positivity rate continue to decline,” the governor said, “and with the holiday surge now in our rear-view mirrors, we must keep taking steps to further re-open the economy safely and responsibly.
“As we move forward, we will continue to follow the science and data and take these kinds of steps to help us finally return to normal.”
