Cyclist struck on 9th Avenue, Driver Flees Scene

Around 8:39 this morning, a car driving eastward on 9th avenue struck a cyclist, who was riding in the same direction.

The accident occurred on 9th avenue between 37th and 38th streets.

EMS was soon on the scene to treat the victim who is in serious condition.

The driver fled the scene of the accident, and NYPD has closed off the street to investigate the event, and to track down the driver.
