By BoroPark24 Staff

DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez announced today that the agency's weekend repairs to the BQE were successfully completed nearly 24 hours ahead of schedule.

The BQE, which had been fully closed between the Atlantic Avenue entrance ramp and the Manhattan Bridge exit ramp in the Queens-bound direction, was expected to undergo repairs from Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 2:00 a.m. until Monday, June 3, 2024, at 4:00 a.m, as reported here.

However, diligent efforts by crews resulted in the completion of the work ahead of schedule, leading to the full re-opening of the BQE this morning, June 2, 2024, at 6:00 a.m.
