Fire at Apartment Building Injures Elderly Person

Boro Park - A fire broke out in the basement of an apartment building in Boro Park Wednesday morning, injuring one person.

The blaze erupted in the complex on 55th Street between 16th and 17th avenues. Hatzolah and emergency responders from FDNY responded to the scene.

One elderly person suffered minor injuries. Firefighters successfully put out the flames.
