Firefighters Bring 57th St. Blaze Under Control

Boro Park – A fire that broke out in a house in Boro Park Thursday afternoon was quickly brought under control by a team of firefighters.

The blaze was reported at about 2:30 p.m. on the second floor of a small dwelling at Fort Hamilton Parkway and 57th Street.

Two trucks and a ladder responded to the scene. Dozens of onlookers crowded the narrow street as first responders carried hoses to the house.

There were no injuries reported but the house had minor damages.
