Flatbush Shomrim Arrange Donation of Dozens of Oxygen Tanks
Flatbush - The Flatbush Shomrim has arranged for the donation of about 100 oxygen machines that will allow people suffering from coronavirus-induced breathing problems to remain at home.
Tzvi Weill of Shomrim told boropark24.com that the machines, called oxygen concentrators, are allocated by doctors with a prescription. The patients are home, where they are monitored by the doctors.
"This can avoid having people go to the hospital, with all the overcrowding there," Weill said. "These machines are saving lives."
The Shomrim appealed to the Flatbush community for the concentrators. The organization said that they are still asking for private people who own the machines to donate them and save lives.
