Frigid Temperatures Have Thursday as Coldest Day This Season
Thursday’s bone chilling temperatures are making it the coldest day of the season, and winter hasn’t even arrived.
Shabbos is the first day of winter. The weather is forecast to ease up by then. But for Thursday and Friday, the below freezing degrees, combined with a gusty wind chill, are making New Yorkers feel as if it’s in the single digits, AccuWeather says.
“It’s cold today and the wind is not helping at all,” senior AccuWeather meteorologist Paul Walker said, according to the New York Post. “This is the coldest its been all season.”
It won’t be that windy Thursday night and Friday, and the forecast for Shabbos is a high of 33 degrees, going up to 42 the next day.
