Gov. Cuomo Says All Schools in New York May Reopen for In-School Sessions in Fall

Following weeks of deliberations, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a n Friday that he will allow all schools to reopen for the fall season with in-person sessions.

The governor said all regions in the state have met the thresholds to allow in-person classes.

"By our infection rates, all school districts can open everywhere in the state," the governor said Friday. "Every region is below the threshold that we established, which is just great news."

"If anybody can open schools, we can open schools,” Cuomo added.
