Green Infrastructure Installation Expands in Boro Park

Boro Park continues its push towards the installation of green infrastructure.

Following the recent work at 47th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway, crews have now begun similar projects at 12th Avenue and 48th Street, as well as 45th Street and 12th Avenue.

These installations are part of a broader initiative to improve the neighborhood's resilience against flooding. The green infrastructure includes features designed to capture and manage stormwater, reducing the burden on the city's sewer systems and preventing street flooding during heavy rains.
