Here’s Where the New Daylighting Spots Are in Boro Park

Drivers and pedestrians in Boro Park will notice new daylighting at several corners in the neighborhood. Daylighting means parking has been cleared right at the intersection, giving drivers a clearer view when turning and making it easier for pedestrians to be seen while crossing.

The new no-parking zones are located at:

● 13th Avenue and 39th Street

● New Utrecht Avenue and 51st Street

● 13th Avenue and 47th Street

● 11th Avenue and 57th Street

● 14th Avenue and 50th Street

● New Utrecht Avenue and 55th Street

● 14th Avenue and 42nd Street

● 9th Avenue and 54th Street

More locations are expected in the near future.

The City says the changes will help improve safety at busy intersections, even if it means losing a few parking spots in a neighborhood where parking is already tight.
