Historic Procession through Boro Park Streets, as Belzer Cheder Officially Inaugurated

Lag Ba’Omer afternoon saw a historic event in the history of Boro Park as the Belzer kehillah formally entered the brand new Talmud Torah.
The project of this enormous building—built upon a property with entrances on both 37th and 38th Streets—has consumed the Belzer kehillah in Boro Park and its askonim for a very long time. For years, the Talmud Torah was located on 16th Avenue near 43rd Street, but this location has not be able to accommodate the phenomenal growth of the mossad for a long time now, and different divisions were dispersed at locations around Boro Park.
With the strong encouragement of the Belzer Rebbe shlit”a every step of the way, this magnificent building was finally completed, and upon his guidance Lag Ba’Omer was designated as the day to make the move official.
Dayonim and Rabbonim led the crowd of all ages who marched—with the sifrei Torah of the old building—from the old building to a magnificent new edifice which will serve them as they educate future generations for many years to come.
