Honda Recalls Popular Odyssey Minivan Over Faulty Wiring
A faulty wiring that can cause a fire is leading Honda to issue a recall of its popular Odyssey minivan.
The recall sent by mail to vehicle owners ays that three fires have so far been reported in the EX-L, Touring and Elite minivans from the 2018 through 2020 model years. It blamed a wiring harness running to a third-row power outlet that may have been pinched and damaged during manufacturing.
In each of the incidents, no one was injured.
To fix the issue, dealers will be rerouting the wiring and covering it with insulation tape. If the wiring harness is damaged, it will be replaced.
