Iconic Beth El Dome Gets Much-Needed Makeover

Boro Park residents have watched the scaffolding go up around the legendary, one-century-old Congregation Beth El of Borough Park, in anticipation of repair work that the aging building is in need of.
The Beth El building is 100 years old standing tall with pride. It has become an icon in Boro Park, and is often used as an iconic photo to represent old Boro Park.
The shul has launched a “raise the roof” campaign for these much-needed renovations, and wrote on its website: "We are working on a complicated project to renovate our 100+ year old beautiful building. The roof and dome project is already ongoing and we hope it will be completed in 2-3 months (weather permitting).
Please assist with this amazing and worthy project, which is one of our Bedek Habayis undertakings. Use the form below to donate and / or sponsor."
In the last months, workers were seen atop the iconic dome applying a new layer of roofing that will protect the beautiful edifice for years to come, and today our photographer got a closer look from a birds-eye view of the renovations.
