Illegal Tow Truck Car Theft Brought to an End Thanks to Shomrim

A coordinated effort between Shomrim and the NYPD led to the arrest of a suspect accused of illegally towing a car in Boro Park.

According to reports, Shomrim volunteers  received a call from a resident who discovered their vehicle was missing. Using surveillance footage, the volunteers traced the vehicle being towed without authorization.

The tow truck was tracked over several hours to the suspect’s residence, where volunteers monitored the location and alerted authorities. Upon arrival, NYPD officers confirmed the car had not been officially removed or reported, and subsequently arrested the suspect.
