IN TRIBUTE (Shiva information): Mrs. Hena Sima Moses, a"h, Wife of Legendary Reb Hillel Moses from Shomrei Shabbos

This week, the Boro Park community was saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs. Hena Sima Moses, a"h, the wife of, ybl"ch, Reb Hillel Moses, the legendary gabbai of Shomrei Shabbos of Boro Park. She was 76 years of age. 

The nifteres was the daughter of Reb Nosson Leibowitz, a Holocaust Survivor from Germany, and she was raised in the Boro Park community, the first generation to rebuild from the great churban. 

As noted, she was the eishes chayil of Reb Hillel Moses, a Yid  who has devoted himself to the Boro Park community with great selflessness over so many decades as the gabbai of Shomrei Shabbos. 

Reb Hillel's shift placed him at Shomrei Shabbos in the very late night and overnight hours, into the wee hours of the morning. His eishes chayil not only supported, but encouraged him in his avodas hakodesh.

Together, they built a beautiful Torah home, with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who follow in their ways. 

Reb Hillel and his children are sitting shiva at 1161 46th Street until Sunday morning.
