Lag BaOmer in New Jersey
The annual tradition continues: Thousands are set to journey to the kever of Rebbe Naftuli Tzvi Halberstam of Bobov zt”l on Lag Ba’Omer, where so many have merited great yeshu’os in past years.
Thousands of Yidden from the tri-state area and beyond prepare for Lag BaOmer, with the words of Rav Naftulche of Bobov whispering softly of miracles and salvation. “Rabi Shimon ben Yochai will be by me Lag BaOmer,” he had said, and that promise is reinforced each year anew as crowds descend upon the sacred site. They come to daven and to thank; to plead and to rejoice. Tears of joy mingle with tears of desperation, one assuaging the pain of the other.
Stories are told, and for each one recounted there are so many that will forever remain unknown. The crowds multiply with each passing year at a rate that can only be termed miraculousf… or everything about Lag BaOmer in New Jersey is built on mystery and miracles.
