Lelover Chassidim to Donate Torah in Memory of Rebbe, zt”l

The Lelover chassidim, followers of the Lelover Rebbe of Boro Park, Rebbe Yaakov Yitzchok Biderman, shlit”a, mispalelim of the Beis Medrash on 49^th Street, will celebrate the completion of a sefer Torah, written by the entire kehilla in the memory of Rebbe Alter Eliezer Menachem, the son of Rebbe Moshe Mordechai, zecher tsaddikim livracha, the father of the current Rebbe shlit’a.

The Rebbe lived in Bnei Brak, where he led the Lelover chassidim there, until his petirah 21 years ago. He was known as a tremendous iluy, and was a onetime chavrusa of Rav Chaim Kanievsky, zt”l.

The kesivas osiyos will take place Thursday afternoon, from 5:15-6:15, at the home of R’ Aaron Tzvi Elbogen, a devoted chossid of the Lelover Rebbeim, after which it will be escorted to the Beis Medrash on 49^th Street.
