More High-Rises Coming to Boro Park: Is the Neighborhood Changing?

Yesterday, BoroPark24 reported on a site at 14th Avenue and 44th Street that has been torn down to make way for an eight-story building. In response, we have received information about two more similar projects in the same area.

New developments are underway on 15th Avenue between 45th and 46th Street, as well as one block further by 47th Street. Both sites are in the demolition process, with plans for six- to seven-story buildings.

While the community welcomes growth, some residents are wondering: Is Boro Park on its way to becoming the next Williamsburg? Will the low-rise avenues transform in the coming years?

One thing is certain - the skyline is changing.
