MTA Buses Driving at Slowest Pace Since Covid

A newly-released study asserts that New York City buses are driving their slowest in three years. 

The buses were found to have driven an average of 8.18 miles per hour in the first ten months of 2023, down from the previous two years. Buses are also running slower than in 2015. 

The fastest buses are in Staten Island, and the slowest buses are in Manhattan, where they drive an average of 6.28 MPH. 

In Brooklyn, buses drive an average of 7.29 MPH, the data shows.
