New Sidewalk Projects on New Utrecht Ave

In recent days, neighbors at 54th St and 55th St have witnessed massive work projects at the intersections as part of a new sidewalk project on New Utrecht Ave.

As seen in the photos attached, corner sidewalks were redone and new sidewalks were added at the corners and intersections.

This project aims to enhance safety for pedestrians in the neighborhood where multiple streets and avenues converge.

As BoroPark24 reported on January 26 the DOT proposed enhancements to improve safety at those intersections.
